Reading your way to Successful Gambling
There are many techniques which claim to be able to instruct in the art of gambling. Some of these techniques come from forums, websites, online tacticians and statisticians as well as various other mediums. With the internet gambling craze that has enveloped the world, and with many beginners flocking to gambling sites and casinos, we could all use a little help. One of the best ways to get that extra edge is a resource which has also become very popular and this is namely the E-book. Now, the E-book is a very handy tool to have at your disposal, they offer direction and tips, tell you the history of certain gambling games and the strategies that you can utilize to turn the odds a little more in your favor. Remember that, if you don’t have this but someone else has, they already have an advantage.
But not all these books are particularly helpful; there will always be people who look to make an extra buck or two on the naïve or just plain hopeful player. For this reason, you need to take care and choose books which are right for you.
We are going to look at a few Ebooks here that have been read, reviewed and proven to be helpful. This way, when you take the first step, at least it will be in the right direction.
To start with, we shall look at ’Blackjack – The Complete Strategy’. This contains various tips which can influence the game of blackjack. From fund accountability to the art of reading the cards, this is very handy for both beginners and experienced players. It also has other incentives that cannot be thought of as anything other than beneficial.
Then there is ‘More Casino Gambling Made Easier‘, written by Gayle Mitchell. This contains references to a multitude of gambling activities; it also highlights the mistakes a player can make, which is always a useful reference. The fact that it lists the best casinos the play in is a definite benefit.
‘Loophole In Sport Betting System‘, by Richard Koh, is another little gem. It does exactly what it says on the tin and lists the various ways that easy money can be made through sports betting. It can be a little technical, but once you are up and running it is essential if sports betting is your bag.
Then you should check out ‘Casino Betting Systems‘, by Fawzia Awwad. Again, the lists are varied to multiple online gambling games but the insights are useful and can become essential when you come across the circumstances described within.
There are others Ebooks, but to begin with these offer healthy tips and will encourage a better betting technique for all those that pay attention!
A Losing Game
Now, I like to believe that the majority of people are not stupid. You normally find that those who are not academically inclined have a large dose of common sense or street smarts. You certainly do not find many idiots in the casino, dreamers yes, those on a glory hunt definitely, but stupid? No. So why are they actually there? They are gambling their hard earned cash on games that have been designed with the probability being that they will lose.
In general, this does not make sense, but when you try to understand human nature and the desire to win, the logic becomes apparent. We are, as individuals, built with a purpose, we all want things and we all covert things. The poor want to be rich whereas the rich richer. We want success and we might want fame; the fact is that we all want something. And of course, if there is a risk, then that adds to the excitement.
Gambling is the oldest form of self mutilation. It is a way for us to berate ourselves when we lose and congratulate ourselves when we win. We have gambled against the odds and won, so we can walk away can’t we? Unfortunately, this is not always possible. This is where human nature kicks in again, and the fact we have won makes us want to win more. Unfortunately, very thing that made us stay also makes us end up losing. But, that is our nature; we will bemoan and regret our actions but try to ensure that we will not do the exact same thing next time.
The art of being a good gambler is knowing when to walk away. There are few of us who can do this and this is why there are very few really good gamblers. The house will rely on our human nature, and the house will always win. For every good gambler, there are a hundred poor ones, and this poor is more than in the monetary sense. We can all have hopes and dreams; we can all think that easy money is just around the corner. Regrettably, the reality is that for most of us, this is not the case; acceptance is more than necessary, it is vital.
So, if you are thinking of gambling as a source of income, think again. Many have trodden that path and many are still trying to pay off their debts. It is all a game of chance, but the chance is based on the odds and the odds are stacked against you. To enjoy gambling, you need to have limits, you need to realize that this is a game; one that can be put down and walked away from whenever you decide.
Better the Devil You Know
The economical crisis has now grown to almost epic proportions. The credit crunch that once loomed is now in full swing and we are all paying the prices for the boom or bust years. With money so tight, there are so many people looking at ways to earn that extra buck. It is when these troubles are at their worst when people, feeling that there is no other choice, can become involved in illegal and fraudulent activities. It is no excuse, there never can be to commit a crime, but some people just act in desperation and there will always be someone behind them manipulating and using their insecurities. To make matters that little bit worse, as those that still have scruples also look for ways to make some extra cash, they become more susceptible to cons and scams, the lure of extra money can often blind us from the truth.
There is every chance that you will come into contact with some sort of scam every day, especially when using the internet. However, most of us delete the garbage mail or soon evade the pop up ads. We have become suspicious (and rightly so) of those deals that seem too good to be true because in reality, we know that they are. So it might come as a surprise that most of the scams which people are being caught with these days are actually in real time, with real people. Perhaps this is the real reason we are caught, we do not see what could be happening in front of a very eyes, the suspicion is always of what is happening behind closed doors.
Many people believe that the online casinos are the biggest threat, but actually, they aren’t; certainly not any legitimate ones anyway. The biggest problem is when you are using a credit card when playing at the real casinos. There have been more crimes linked to this in conjunction with identity theft than any other reported. It has been claimed that no fewer than half a million people fall foul of identity theft each year in the United States alone.
In reality, these crimes are easy to avoid if you keep the threat prominently in your mind. Just be sure not to let any of your card details be passed over especially if it is not secure. Additionally, make sure you can see what is going on at all times. A card needs to be swiped through a certain machine to be cloned, if you keep the proverbial eye open, there is little chance of that happening.
Finally, keep up to date with all the latest scams; there are plenty of warnings online. Forewarned is after all forearmed.
